Clearnote Church, Bloomington isn't a building--we call our building the "church-house."
Rather, Clearnote Church is people. It's men and women, girls and boys, who have repented of our sins and put our trust in Jesus to save us from sin, death, and Hell. To distinguish His followers from the rest of the world, Jesus commanded us to be baptized by water and then to eat together at His Table--the meal many congregations call "Communion" or "The Lord's Supper." So we have obeyed Him and been baptized, and every other week during our Lord's Day worship we eat together at His Table, showing His death until He comes again.
Despite our sin and failures, God uses the Church to witness to other men who are lost and need to put their trust in Jesus. We repeat Jesus' call to them: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28, 29).
Will you come to Jesus? If you're a sinner, He will give you rest and we will love you, expecting you also to love us. Here in Jesus' church, what Scripture also calls "the household of faith," we all experience true family relationships under our Father, God. Together, we are His adopted sons and daughters, and are free to live together in humility, forgiveness, and love. The Church is not perfect, but God uses her to draw each of us closer to Himself, and to one another.
Come to Clearnote Church and we will welcome you with open arms. Experience love and community, hear the preaching of God's Word, worship God as one voice among many lifted up to Him, and be challenged to live your life as a sacrifice, completely committed to Jesus Christ. We look forward to meeting you.
Whether or not you are a follower of Jesus, we do hope you'll join us for worship this Sunday.
In Christ's love,
